Got a plant that feels a little too good for the free-for-all?

This section is for healthy, established plants you’d rather trade directly for something of similar value.

THINK:

• Established rooted plants
• Mature propagations
• Larger or especially healthy plants
• Uncommon varieties
• Plants in nice pots
• Anything you look at and think, “Yeahhhh, I’m not just putting this on the regular swap table.”

They do not have to be rare or expensive. They just need to be established, healthy, and something another plant person would be excited to trade for.

HOW IT WORKS

You keep ownership of your plant until you agree to a trade.

Bring your plant to the Bougie Plant Swap area and let other plant people know what you have and what you might be looking for.

When someone wants to trade, use the Plant Trade Mat to make an offer.

One plant can be traded for:

• One plant
  
• Multiple smaller plants
  
• A plant + pot
  
• Whatever combination makes both people happy
  

There are no assigned dollar values and no one is judging whether your trade is “equal enough.”

A fair trade is whatever both plant people are happy with.

BOUGIE SWAP RULES

• Plant-for-plant trades only — no cash
  
• Both people must agree before anything changes hands
  
• Bougie plants do NOT become part of the end-of-day free-for-all
  
• If you don’t find a trade you love, take your plant home
  
• Please bring only healthy, pest-free plants
  

Small note:

Swap volunteers may redirect plants to the Community Swap if they’re a better fit there.
